FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long does the media last before it has to be changed?
Typically if the unit is sized correctly the media will last at least a year. This all depends on how often ARVs cycle.
How are the units installed?
An excavation is done beside the ARV manhole, discharge manhole, Lift Station or any other odor causing structures. The odor control unit is then set to be flush with existing grade. The odor causing structure is kored and piped to the odor control unit. Existing structure is sealed to prevent odors from escaping and all odors will be forced thru Odor Control Unit.
Who can install the units?
We prefer units be installed by a certified installer to make sure units perform correctly and as designed. If you prefer to install the unit with your crew we can do an on site consultation as the unit is being installed to make sure units are installed properly and can address any issues with installation.
HOW DO YOU REPLACE THE MEDIA IN UNITS?
Most Cities and Counties have Combination Cleaner Trucks or Hydro Excavation Trucks. These trucks just vacuum out the old media so the new media can be installed. Subsurface Services can also perform these services.
